BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - Southern Connecticut gymnastics finished third against Bridgeport and Yale at the Purple Knights Senior Meet in Bridgeport, Conn. The Owls totaled 192.775, following Yale's 194.125 and UB's 194.300.
Lola Sepulveda had three hits with a 9.725 on the Floor Exercise, 9.675 on the Bars and a 9.675 on the Vault, leading the Owls in all three events. Hanna Fitzgerald and Libby Allen also scored in three events. Allen had a 9.675 on the Floor and a 9.650 on the Vault and a 9.500 on the Balance Beam. Fitzgerald had scores of 9.625 on the Vault and 9.650 on the Bars to go with a 9.650 on the Beam.
Ava Kelly had a 9.625 on the Vault and a 9.600 on the Floor. Abby Royer posted a team-high 9.875 on the Floor Exercise while Gabriela Dinisoe and Maria Chronopoulos had a team-best 9.775 on the Balance Beam. Kiersten Lewis posted a 9.725 on the Floor.
Vault
Sepulveda led the Owls on the Vault with a 9.675 for 10th place followed by Allen tied for 11th at 9.650. Kelly and Hannah Fitzgerald tied for 15th at 9.625.
Uneven Parallel Bars
Sepulveda once again led the Owls on the Bars with a 9.675 while Hannah Fitzgerald was close behind in 9th place at 9.650. Zoe Axell finished tied for 14th at 9.525 while Gianna Schibi posted a 9.500.
Balance Beam
Chronopoulos and Dinisoe finished tied for second on the Balance Beam with matchign 9.775s while Hannah Fitzgerald was tied for ninth at 9.650. Angelina Stanfa had a 9.600 for 11th place.
Floor Exercise
Royer finished tied for third with a 9.875 while Kiersten Lewis posted a career-best 9.750 for ninth place and her first scoring points of the season. Sepulveda was 11th at 9.725 followed by Allen with a 9.675 for a tie of 13th place.
The Owls will now trek to Ithaca, N.Y. on Saturday, March 21 to compete in the 2026 Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) Championships.
