SCSU Men's Track & Field Sweeps NE10 Weekly Awards

Southern Connecticut men's track & field took home all three weekly awards for the final week of the 2026 season, as announced by the Northeast 10 Conference on Tuesday, May 12th. Osaretin Osagie was named Track Athlete of the Week, Lawrence Hicks was named Field Athlete of the Week, and Aidan Lanciault was named Rookie of the Week. 

Osagie has been dominant as the 2026 season comes to a close, winning the 110m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles at both the NE10 and NEICAAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. His time of 14.14 in the 110m Hurdles at the New England Championships was a season best, and ranks first in the conference and 35th in Division II. His most impressive race came in the 400m Hurdles at the NE10 Championships, where he broke the championships record and program record with a time of 51.18. That time ranks sixth in all of DII. This is Osagie's second weekly award this season. 

Hicks also closed out the season strong, winning the High Jump at the NE10 Championships and placing second at New Englands. At the New England Championships, he cleared a season-best mark of 2.06m (6' 9") to clinch the silver medal. That height meets the NCAA provisional standard and ranks 33rd in all of Division II. This is Hicks's first weekly honor this season. 

Aidan Lanciault finished his season by winning the Decathlon at both the NE10 Championships and the NEICAAA Championships. At NE10s, he set personal best marks in the Javelin Throw, Long Jump, and the Pole Vault, where he cleared 4.15m, good for third-best in the entire conference this season. At the New England Championships, he recorded a career high 6286 points, recording PRs in the 1500m, Discus Throw, 400m, and 100m. This is Lanciault's first weekly award of his Owls' career.
