SCSU Men's Track & Field Places Second at New England Championships

EASTON, Mass. - Southern Connecticut men's track & field finished second at the 2026 NEICAAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The Owls totaled 153 points, coming in behind only Rhode Island in a field of 31 Division I, II, and III teams.

Marquis Ward took home three medals, winning the 100m and the 4x400m and taking home second in the 4x100m. Osaretin Osagie added onto his phenomenal season with two golds, winning the 110m Hurdles and 400m Hurdles. Aidan Lanciault took home the Decathlon title after winning the event at the Northeast 10 Championships a week before. Jack Mulcunry and Jonathan Volpe both recorded personal bests and second place finishes in the 800m and 1500m respectively. Mulcunry tied the second-fastest 800m in program histroy, and Volpe broke his own 1500m program record. Max Musial, Taffie Todd, and Sam Sandler each picked up a gold alongside Ward in the 4x400m, with Todd adding a silver in the 4x100 and Sandler adding a bronze in the 400m.
