SCSU Football's Ethan Hudson Named NE10 Special Teams Player of the Week

Southern Connecticut State University freshman Ethan Hudson was named the Northeast 10 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, as announced by the NE10 on Monday, Sept. 21, 2026. 

The first-year Owl made an impact in his first game under the lights at Jess Dow Field. With the Owls clinging to a 17-13 lead just three minutes into the fourth quarter, AIC was backed up to its own 7-yard line. Hudson made the play of the game when he blitzed the edge and blocked the punt – which was then picked up by Kelvin McKnight and returned for a touchdown to give Southern a 24-13 lead and seal the home win.
