Elaina Heiple (Cheshire, Conn.) each tallied a goal, but the Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team lost to Bentley on Thursday in a Northeast-10 Conference tilt, 23-2.
SCSU is now 0-9, 0-5 in Northeast-10 play. Bentley is 6-6, 4-1.
The Falcons scored eight goals in the opening 10:18 to take control of the contest. SCSU battled back with a marker from Tammaro on a free position shot.
Bentley led 15-1 at halftime and tallied 11 straight markers to build a 19-1 lead.
Heiple's free position shot tally was the Owls' second goal of the day. Bentley scored four straight games to close out the contest.
Diana Digangi (Cheshire, Conn.) finished with 10 saves. The starter,
Lisa Corso (North Bellmore, N.Y.), stopped seven shots in the game.
SCSU is back in action tomorrow for a game at St. Michael's.
