SHIPPENSBURG, Pa . – Freshman Laura Dembofsky (Stamford, Conn.) netted her first collegiate goal, but the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team lost to No. 9 nationally ranked Mansfield on Sunday afternoon, 5-1. 

The Owls actually held a 1-0 lead late in the first half after Dembofsky found the back of the net on an unassisted tally. 

Unfortunately, Mansfield tied the game just 2:27 later, and the game stayed that way into halftime.
Mansfield recorded all four second half goals and held on for the win. 

Lauren Zarrella (Morris, Conn.) finished with nine saves for the Owls in the contest.
