COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Southern Connecticut field hockey standout Taylor Leckey earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II All-American Second Team honors, as announced by the NFHCA on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025. Leckey is the 15th SCSU field hockey student-athlete to earn All-American honors in program history and the first since Sarah Cebry earned Second Team honors in 2013.
Leckey's latest honor comes after a season of accolades. She was previously named NFHCA Division II All-Region and was selected to the 2025 NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team. In addition, she was named to the Northeast-10 Conference First Team.
Leckey finished the season with a team‑best 11 goals and 10 assists for 32 points and added eight defensive saves, all ranking among the top of the NE10 leaderboards. Her eight defensive saves placed second in NCAA Division II field hockey, and her 0.53 assists per game ranked seventh. On Sept. 22 against St. Thomas Aquinas, she posted four goals and two assists, becoming the second Owl in program history—after Sarah Cebry's 2012 feat—to record 10 points in a single game. Over two seasons, Leckey tallied 13 goals and 12 assists for 38 career points.
