Taylor Leckey and Isabella Fölster Named To NFHCA Division II All-Region Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. – Southern Connecticut field hockey standouts Taylor Leckey and Isabella Fölster were honored as National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division II All-East Region selections, as announced by the NFHCA on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025.

Leckey earned First Team honors while Fölster was named to the Second Team. The duo are the first honored by the NFHCA since Sarah Cebry in 2013. Leckey and Fölster were previously named to the All-NE10 First and Second Team, respectively, while Leckey was also selected to the 2025 NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team.

Leckey finished the season with a team‑best 11 goals and 10 assists for 32 points and added eight defensive saves, all ranking among the top of the NE10 leaderboards. Her eight defensive saves placed second in NCAA Division II field hockey, and her 0.53 assists per game ranked seventh. On Sept. 22 against St. Thomas Aquinas, she posted four goals and two assists, becoming the second Owl in program history—after Sara Cebry's 2012 feat—to record 10 points in a single game. Over two seasons, Leckey tallied 13 goals and 12 assists for 38 career points.

Fölster had a standout freshman campaign, netting nine goals and eight assists for 25 points. She opened her Owl scoring with two goals and an assist in a 5‑1 win over Mercy, sparking a four‑game point streak. When she scored, Southern went 7‑0. Fölster earned NE10 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week honors on Sept. 22 after recording two assists in an overtime win at Franklin Pierce and the go‑ahead goal in a 2‑1 conference victory at St. Michael's.
