SCSU Field Hockey's Taylor Leckey Named To 2025 NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – SCSU Field Hockey standout Taylor Lecker was named to the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Collegiate Senior Team, as announced by the NFHCA on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025.

The NFHCA Collegiate Senior Team is comprised of 36 NCAA Division II Senior student-athletes. Selections are based on nominations submitted by NFHCA member coaches and reviewed by committees composed entirely of NFHCA coach members.  Seniors are eligible for selection only once during their collegiate careers. Leckey was one of 15 Northeast-10 Conference seniors selected for the honor.

Leckey earned NE10 First Team honors in 2025 after earning Third Team honors in 2024. Leckey finished the year with a team-best 11 goals and 10 assists for 32 points while also posting eight defensive saves – all stats that rank among the top of the NE10 leaderboards. In addition, her eight defensive saves ranked second in NCAA Division II field hockey and her 0.53 assists per game ranked seventh.

Against St. Thomas Aquinas on Sept. 22, Leckey led the way for the Owls with four goals and two assists, which made her the second player in program history, joining Sara Cebry against St. Michael's and Franklin Pierce in 2012, to score 10 points in a single game. In two seasons with the Owls, Leckey totaled 13 goals and 12 assists for 38 career points.
