Fresh off an exciting overtime win at St. Michael's last time out, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team returns home this week for a pair of games. The Owls host Adelphi on Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. on Girl Scout Day at Jess Dow Field. On Saturday, No. 4 nationally ranked UMass-Lowell makes the trip to New Haven in the Owls' annual Play 4 The Cure contest. The Owls have partnered up with the Connecticut chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the event, which will also feature a post-game cookout courtesy of Five Guys Burgers and Fries. On the field, SCSU will wear pink uniforms in support of the cause.
