MANCHESTER, N.H. - Sophomore
Erica Fisher (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) scored a pair of goals to lead the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team to a 4-0 win at St. Anselm on Saturday.
The Owls improved to 3-6, 1-1 in Northeast-10 play with the win.
SCSU struck first just 6:47 into the game on Fisher's first marker of the day, coming off an assist from
Ann Farrier (Belfast, Maine).
The Owls then put the game out of reach with two tallies just 2:06 apart late in the first half. Fisher connected first off an assist from
Sarah Cebry (Burlington, Conn.).
Laurie Cockerline (Lopatcong, N.J.) then made it 3-0 with a marker that also came off an assist from Cebry.
Farrier closed the scoring with a goal late in the second half that was set up by
Laura Dembofsky (Stamford, Conn.)
Goalie
Lauren Zarrella (Morris, Conn.) made six saves in posting her first shutout of the year.
The Owls close a six-game road swing on Tuesday with a game at AIC.
