Baseball Dismantles Felician in Offensive Outburst, 19-9

Kyle Rosadino hit a home run on Thursday to lead the Owls offensively.

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Southern Connecticut State University baseball team dismantled Felician on Thursday, handing the Falcons a 10-run loss by the score of 19-9. The Owls connected on 20 total hits and were led by Kyle Rosadino's (Berwyn, Pa.) four hits, four runs, two RBI and a home run. With the win, Southern improves to 5-2-1 while the Falcons fall to 6-8.

Chris Zbin (Colchester, Conn.) recorded his third win of the season as he went five and two-thirds innings. With the bases loaded in the sixth, Kyle Penney (Columbia, Conn.) came out of the bullpen to strike out the next batter and get out of the jam and Steve Corbett (Prospect, Conn.) recorded the save as he went two and two-thirds with three strikeouts and just one hit allowed.

Offensively, Rosadino's 4-for-7 performance led the squad, as well as Ryan Geffert (Plymouth, Pa.) who went 3-for-3 with three walks, three RBI, four runs scored, a double and a triple. Nick DeProspo (Worcester, Mass.) knocked in three RBI as well as he went 2-for-3 from the plate, including a triple. Greg Malen (Stamford, Conn.) connected on four hits in five at-bats and Bryan Dorsey (Cheshire, Conn.), Eric Schlitter (Guilford, Conn.) and Michael Cleary (West Boylston, Mass.) added two more hits each.

The Owls head back to the field tomorrow to face St. Thomas Aquinas College in a doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m.
