Baseball Drops Doubleheader

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Southern Connecticut State University baseball team dropped its doubleheader on Sunday to Dowling then Saint Thomas Aquinas. The Owls lost their first game by the score of 3-2 before falling short to Saint Thomas Aquinas, 4-3. Southern is now 6-4-1 overall.

In game one versus Dowling, #A.J. Rouleau# (Westborough,  Mass.) led the offense as he went 2-for-4 from the plate with a RBI and a run scored. Nick DeProspo (Worcester, Mass.) added two more hits in four at-bats and Eric Schlitter (Guilford, Conn.) went 1-for-3 with a RBI.

Steve Landell (Higganum, Conn.) made his first appearance as an Owl in game two. He went three and two-third innings without allowing a run and struckout four. Kyle Rosadino (Berwyn, Pa.) led the team offensively as he went 2-for-4 from the plate and Jordan Hockenberry (Glastonbury, Conn.) and Greg Malen (Stamford, Conn.) added a hit each. 

The Owls return to action on Tuesday as they host Pace at 3 p.m. to begin Northeast-10 competition.
