NEW HAVEN, Conn.- After trading goals in the first half, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team fell to St. Anselm College, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at Jess Dow Field in the club's annual Play 4 The Cure game.
Junior
Randi Schock (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for Southern, as she converted a penalty stroke to even the score at one goal apiece.
Southern controlled most of the second half, with both teams combining for 25 shots. However, St Anselm was able to hold on for the victory.
Owls' goaltender
Robin Donaldson (Canton, Conn.) stopped three shots in the contest.
Southern will visit Assumption College Thursday, Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
