Erica Fisher (Putnam Valley, N.Y.) registered her 12th goal of the season, but the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team dropped a 9-1 decision in the season finale on Saturday.
The Owls conclude the year with a 5-13 overall mark and 2-8 record in Northeast-10 Conference play. Bentley is now 9-9, 6-4 in league action.
Fisher opened the scoring just 2:21 into play off an assist from
Laurie Cockerline (Lopatcong, N.J.).
However, the Falcons scored the final five goals of the first half and then added four more second half tallies to make it a 9-1 final.
