CLERMONT, Fla. - The Southern Connecticut State University softball team fell short on the final day of its spring trip in Florida in a doubleheader against Augustana College. Game one ended in a mercy rule in the fifth inning 11-3, while the Owls lost 6-3 in the second game.

Jessica Rosa (Wallingford, Conn.) registered the loss in the first half of the doubleheader, while Jayme Larson (Aurora, Colo.) took the loss in the second game.

The Owls fall to 6-5 on the season as they prepare for two double headers both at home against C.W. Post on Thursday at 2 p.m. and Georgian Court on Sunday with the first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
