NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore goalie Robin Donaldson (Canton, Conn.) made a career-high 13 saves, but the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team lost to C.W. Post on Thursday evening in a non-conference contest, 7-0.

The Owls are now 1-3 overall on the year. C.W. Post improves to 1-0.

The Pioneers opened the scoring with a goal just 5:23 into play, and scored two more times in the next 4:32 to extend their lead to 3-0. C.W. Post would tack on two additional scores during the course of the half to take a 5-0 advantage into halftime.

The visitors added two second half goals to make it a 7-0 final.

Southern Connecticut returns to action on Saturday for a non-conference home game against Saint Michael's. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
