TWO ROAD GAMES AHEAD
The first of two games this week for the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team takes place on Wednesday when the Owls travel to face Stonehill College. Game time is set for 6 p.m. SCSU plays a second road game on Saturday at 7 p.m. against St. Anselm.
PLAY FOR THE CURE
On Oct. 6, the Owls hosted the fifth annual Play for the Cure game. The field hockey team sported pink uniforms and American Cancer Society representatives attended as well.

Junior
Sarah Cebry is now No. 1 in the country in goals and goals per game. She is also No. 2 in both points and points per game.
Bailey McGinnis is No. 8 in the country in assists per game.
Audrey Dolloff is second in saves per game.
CEBRY STANDS ALONE
After her goal in the Oct. 2 game,
Sarah Cebry reinforced her standing as No. 1 on the Owls' all-time chart, now with 38 career goals. Her two-goal game on Sept. 29 edged out Cathy Cardini, who had 36 goals as an Owl.
LAST TIME OUT
In the Oct. 6 game against St. Michael's, freshman
Audrey Dolloff made an impressive 10 saves. The Purple Knights netted two second half goals against the Owls for a final score of 2-0.
FINDING THE BACK OF THE NET
On Oct. 2,
Sarah Cebry set a new single season record with her 18th goal.
Lauren Anderson also contributed with her first goal of the season in the 3-2 decision to Adelphi.

The Skyhawks hold a 14-7 all-time lead in the series with the Owls.

DOLLOFF NAMED TO NE-10 WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Freshman
Audrey Dolloff netted her first collegiate shutout on Sept. 22 with eight saves against Franklin Pierce. For her efforts in the Sept. 29 game, she was named to the NE-10 weekly honor roll.

Sarah Cebry set a Southern Connecticut single-game record with five goals in a 5-1 win over St. Michael's on Sept. 8.
CEBRY SETTING THE PACE
For a second time in 14 days,
Sarah Cebry recorded five goals in a game, matching her own program single-game record against Franklin Pierce on Sept. 22.

In last season's meeting with Stonehill, the Skyhawks edged out the Owls for a 3-2 win.

A LOOK BACK AT THE LAST ST. ANSELM MEETING
The Owls faced St. Anselm earlier this year on Sept. 14 in a close 2-1 decision that went to the Hawks. During the game,
Sarah Cebry netted her 10th goal of the year after connecting on a penalty stroke.
DONALDSON DOMINATING
Junior
Robin Donaldson recorded her first win of the year in the Owls' first encounter with St. Michael's on Sept. 8. She is 1-1 with a 1.59 goals against average and a .812 save percentage so far in 2012.
SUCCESSFUL ON PENALTY STROKES
As a team, the Owls have been awarded four penalty strokes this year and have converted all four.
Randi Schock has netted two goals, with
Sarah Cebry also tallying a pair.
LENDING A HELPING HAND

Bailey McGinnis had another assist in the Sept. 22 game against Franklin Pierce to extend her team-lead in that department with five helpers. She's also second on the team with 12 points.

Marisa McCann notched her first collegiate win on Sept. 12 in the 3-2 win over AIC. She finished with 11 saves in the contest.

ANOTHER SEASON IN THE BOOKS
The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team closed the 2011 season with a 5-13 record. The Owls just missed out on qualifying for the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.
DUO NAMED TO NE-10 ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
Juniors
Laurie Cockerline and
Paige Donlin were named to the Northeast-10 Conference Field Hockey All-Academic Team following the conclusion of the season. Student-athletes must have at least a 3.3 cumulative grade point average, have completed at least one year at their institution and be a starter or key reserve.
OWLS EXCEL IN THE CLASSROOM
Ten members of the squad were named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for their work in the classroom in 2011-12. Student-athletes must post a 3.0 semester grade point average in order to be eligible for the honor.

Katy Williams - were named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad. The National Academic Squad program recognizes those collegiate student-athletes who achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.
TEAM HONORED BY NFHCA
For the fourth year in a row, the Owls were recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognized those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2011-12 academic year.
