BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - Senior
Randi Schock (Stamford, Conn.) and freshman
Kayla Quinn (Sutton, Mass.) each scored a goal, but the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team lost to LIU-Post on Thursday afternoon, 5-2.
The Owls are now 1-3 on the year. The game was the 2012 opener for LIU-Post.
The hosts scored two first half goals before Schock connected off a penalty stroke with exactly seven minutes to play in the first half. However, the Pioneers added two more goals before the close of the half.
LIU-Post added another second half tally before Quinn found the back of the net off an assist from
Bailey McGinnis (Northford, Conn.).
Audrey Dolloff (Raynham, Mass.) made 13 saves before
Robin Donaldson (Canton, Conn.) entered and made six stops.
The Owls are back in action on Saturday at St. Michael's.
