Sarah Muise (Killingworth, Conn.) each tallied a goal, but the Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team lost to No. 4 nationally ranked Adelphi on Wednesday evening, 16-2.
Adelphi improved to 6-0 overall and 3-0 in Northeast-10 Conference play. The Owls are 0-3, 0-2.
The Panthers jumped out to an 11-0 lead at halftime and scored the first two goals of the second half. Cebry then connected for her fifth goal of the year to get the Owls on the board.
After two more Adelphi goals, Muise registered her sixth marker of the year. The Panthers added a late score to make it a 16-2 final.
Hunter Prindle-Nelson (Sharon, Conn.) finished with eight saves on the night.
The Owls return to action on Saturday for a road game at St. Michael's.
