Women's Lacrosse Falls To Bentley

WALTHAM, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team was defeated by Bentley, 17-3, in a Northeast-10 Conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

The Owls are now 1-8 overall, 0-7 in Northeast-10 play. Bentley improved to 6-3, 4-1 in league play.

The Falcons jumped out to a 6-0 lead before the Owls got on the scoreboard courtesy of a marker from Katie Walter (Woodbridge, Conn.). Bentley added two more first half goals to a take a 8-1 lead into the break.

Bentley scored the first three goals of the second half before Emily Orser (Hamden, Conn.) cut the gap to 11-2. The Falcons would score six of the final seven goals of the game. Southern's final goal came from Sarah Muise (Killingworth, Conn.), assisted to Erica Martino (Monroe, Conn.).

The Owls are back in action on Tuesday for a home game against Assumption.
