Two Second Half Goals Lift No. 8 Bentley Over Owls’ Field Hockey

The Owls lost to No. 8 nationally ranked Bentley on Saturday.

WALTHAM, Mass. – The No. 8 nationally ranked Bentley field hockey team broke a scoreless tie at halftime with two second half goals en route to a 2-0 victory over Southern Connecticut State University on Saturday afternoon.

The Owls are now 0-3 on the year, while Bentley improves to 3-1.

The Falcons scored only 27 seconds into the second half on a goal from Gina Lirange. Then, just under 10 minutes later, Meghan Talerman scored to extend the lead to two goals.

Goalie Audrey Dolloff (Raynham, Mass.) finished with nine saves in the game for the Owls.

SCSU is back in action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a home game against AIC.
