Audrey Dolloff (Raynham, Mass.) made a dozen saves, but the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team lost to Merrimack College, 7-0, in a Northeast-10 Conference contest today at Jess Dow Field.
The Owls are now 2-10 and 0-5 in NE-10 play. Merrimack is 7-5 and 3-3.
Merrimack was led by a hat trick from Nicole Bradley. She opened the scoring 6:08 into play. Sydney Bowker, Bradley and Lindsay Dobecki then followed with goals in a span of 6:45 later in the opening half to build a 4-0 lead. That was the score at halftime.
Katie Bishop, Taylor Simpson and Bradley scored goals in a span of 2:41 early in the second half to close out the scoring and make it a 7-0 final.
The Owls are back in action on Wednesday against Assumption.
