WORCESTER, Mass. - Kristi Montemurro (New Milford, Conn.) scored her fifth goal of the year as the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team lost to Assumption College earlier tonight, 6-1.

The Owls are now 2-11 and 0-6 in Northeast-10 Conference. Assumption is 9-4 and 4-2.

The Greyhounds took control with five first half goals. Allison Sheahan scored twice, with Kiley Collucci, Sarah Frahm and Belle Ives added single scores.

After a Kayla Quinn goal made it 6-0, Montemurro scored off an assist from Whitney Dyer (Danbury, Conn.).

Audrey Dolloff (Raynham, Mass.) stopped 13 shots for the Owls in the game.

SCSU is back in action on Saturday for a home game against Stonehill.
