Sarah Muise (Killingworth, Conn.) finished with four points (three goals, one assist) to lead the way for the Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team in its 17-7 loss at Southern New Hampshire on Saturday.
The Owls are now 0-3 and 0-2 in league play. SNHU is 2-3, 1-0 in league action.
The Penmen scored the first seven goals of the game before Muise's first of the day cut the deficit to 7-1. SNHU countered by scoring the next six goals of the frame to carry a 13-1 lead into the break.
The Owls outscored the Penmen by a 6-4 margin in the second half. Muise and
Kennedy Sherman (Buchanan, N.Y.) each had two goals, while
Sarah Cebry (Burlington, Conn.) and
Lauren Anderson (Cheshire, Conn.) also scored for the Owls.

SCSU is back in action on Monday for a home game against St. Michael's.
