GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Southern Connecticut State University baseball team fell 4-3 to Adelphi.

T.K. Kiernan (Wallingford, Conn.) went two-for-three and scored two runs for the Owls. The third baseman came around to score on a T.J. Shea (Hamden, Conn.) sacrifice during a two-run sixth inning and on a Joe Breen (Nashua, N.H.) sac fly in the eighth. Julian Sobin (Ansonia, Conn.) doubled in Nick Baviello (Orange, Conn.) for the other run.

Pat Egan (Aberdeen, N.J.) struck out 10 batters over seven innings. The lefty allowed seven hits and four runs, all of them earned, taking the loss in the process.

SCSU, 6-9-1, is scheduled to play three games against Le Moyne this weekend.
