The Owls play their final non-conference game of the year on Wednesday against Mercy before entertaining St. Anselm on Saturday afternoon.
ALL-TIME VERSUS MERCYSouthern Connecticut leads the all-time series with Mercy, 3-0.
THE LAST MEETING WITH MERCYEmma Farrel netted the game-winning goal with just 1:30 left in regulation as the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team edged Mercy, 1-0, on Oct. 8. 2014.

Audrey Dolloff stopped five shots to earn the shutout and the victory.
• SCSU was outshot 12-8 and out cornered, 10-7, in the game, but it was Farrel's second goal of the year that proved to be the difference.
Colleen Murphy assisted on Farrel's goal.

THE LAST MEETING WITH ST. ANSELMLauren Anderson scored a goal and fellow classmate and captain
Audrey Dolloff made 17 saves, but the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team dropped a 6-1 decision at Saint Anselm on Oct. 4, 2014.
• Saint Anselm used goals from Allia Connolly and Emma Kincaid to build a 2-0 lead at the intermission. It was the first of three goals on the day from Connolly.
• Bridget Davis made it 3-0 for the Hawks just 79 seconds into the second half before Connolly scored consecutive goals to build a 5-0 cushion.
• Southern registered its lone tally when Anderson connected on a shot through the Hawks' goalie's legs.
• Jamie McNamara added a late goal for the Hawks to make it a 6-1 final.

A LOT OF CLOSE GAMES DURING THIS SEASONSeven of Southern's 14 matches this season have been decided by a goal. The Owls are 3-4 in those games.
DOLLOFF AMONG NCAA STATS LEADERSAudrey Dolloff is currently No. 2 in Division II in saves per game and is No. 10 in save percentage.
OVERTIME NOT KIND AS OF LATEThe Owls have dropped their last four overtime decisions dating back to the 2013 season. Their last OT win came that September in a 3-2 win over St. Anselm.
OWLS ON THEIR WAYSCSU needed just 10 games this year to surpass its win total from all of last year.
DOLLOFF MATCHES CAREER HIGHAudrey Dolloff has posted two shutouts already this season, matching a single-season high in that department. She also posted two shutouts during her freshman season in 2012.
ONE TO NOTHINGFinal scores of 1-0 have not been commonplace around the Owls' program for the better part of the past decade, either on the plus or minus side. In fact, this season marks the first time since 2006 that the Owls have registered two 1-0 victories in the same campaign. It's also the first time since 2006 that SCSU has played in at least three games during a year with that score - the 2006 team played four 1-0 games and was 2-2 that year. The Owls are also 2-2 in 1-0 games this year.
FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING (OR IN A WHILE)...A few takeaways from the win over AIC:

Zoe Fanolis netted her first collegiate game-winning goal.

Sadie Young posted her first collegiate goal.
• Southern earned a win in its conference opener for the second time in the last three years.
• For the first time this year, the Owls had separate players score each goals in a contest in which they netted more than a single tally.
Colleen Murphy had three goals in the win over Mansfield, while
Bailey McGinnis had two goals in the loss to Franklin Pierce.
MCGINNIS RECORDS ANOTHER MULTI-GOAL GAMEBailey McGinnis notched the fourth multiple-goal game of her collegiate career with two tallies in the game against Franklin Pierce.
DOLLOFF STARTS STRONGAudrey Dolloff helped the Owls to a season opening split in a pair of games against Mansfield and No. 4 nationally ranked Shippensburg. Dolloff played the first 58:42 of action to earn the win against Mansfield and stopped all three shots she saw in the net. The following day, Dolloff kept the Owls right with the high-powered Raiders, stopping 20 shots in a 2-0 defeat.

Colleen Murphy kicked off the 2015 season in style, scoring her first career hat trick in the win over Mansfield.

TEAM CAPTURES NFHCA ACADEMIC TEAM LAURELSFor the seventh year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team was recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year. In total, the Owls were one of 20 programs at the Division II level to be recognized with this honor.
