Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Emma Kincaid scored the game-winning goal with 2:17 left in regulation as the Saint Anselm College field hockey team scored the final two goals of the game in a 3-2 triumph over Southern Connecticut State University.
The Owls are now 5-11, 3-7 in Northeast-10 play, while the Hawks are 13-3 and 7-3.
SCSU opened the scoring 7:54 into play when
Zoe Fanolis (Hamden, Conn.) stickhandled through several St. Anselm players before tucking a shot past Katherine Sears.
The Hawks tied it on an Allia Connolly goal with exactly 14 minutes left in the first half.
The Owls went back ahead just 2:47 into the second half on a goal from
Colleen Murphy (Branford, Conn.) However, the Hawks tied it 4:38 later on a goal from Meagan Halligan. Kincaid later added the game-winning tally.
Audrey Dolloff (Raynham, Mass.) made 11 saves for the Owls in the contest.
Southern Connecticut returns to action on Tuesday for a road game at Pace.
