Box Score OAKDALE, N.Y. - The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to Dowling College today in non-conference action.
Both teams moved to 1-3 on the year with the result.
Dowling received the eventual game-winning goal from Jillian Barbieri just 3:55 into the game. Zoe Norton followed with a tally just about 10 minutes later to make it 2-0. Before the first half ended, Ann Marie Skula tacked on one more for a 3-0 cushion at the break.
Summer Carson and Amanda DeGennaro added second half goals for a 5-0 final.
Audrey Dolloff (Raynham, Mass.) made 10 saves for the Owls in the game.
SCSU is back in action on Tuesday for a home game against Adelphi.
