THE LAST MEETING WITH ADELPHIThe Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team fell to the No. 7 nationally ranked Adelphi Panthers on Nov. 4, 2014 at Jess Dow Field.
• Mary Plotas, the leading goal scorer for the Panthers, scored all three goals in the game for her team.

THE LAST MEETING WITH AICErica McLean scored 4:53 into overtime to give visiting American International College a 3-2 victory over SCSU on Oct. 21, 2014 at Jess Dow Field.
• Southern Connecticut was less than two and a half minutes from the victory before AIC stormed back late. Jenna Masionis connected with 2:25 remaining in regulation to even the score at 2-2.
• AIC opened the scoring only 2:05 into play on McLean's first of two goals on the night.
• The Owls countered with two goals in a stretch of 7:24 later in the half.
Colleen Murphy evened the score with a marker off an assist from
Emma Farrel.
Vienna Pallisco followed shortly thereafter with a penalty stroke goal that put the Owls in front.

MCGINNIS RECORDS ANOTHER MULTI-GOAL GAMEBailey McGinnis notched the fourth multiple-goal game of her collegiate career with two tallies in the game against Franklin Pierce.
DOLLOFF STARTS STRONGAudrey Dolloff helped the Owls to a season opening split in a pair of games against Mansfield and No. 4 nationally ranked Shippensburg. Dolloff played the first 58:42 of action to earn the win against Mansfield and stopped all three shots she saw in the net. The following day, Dolloff kept the Owls right with the high-powered Raiders, stopping 20 shots in a 2-0 defeat.

Colleen Murphy kicked off the 2015 season in style, scoring her first career hat trick in the win over Mansfield.

FARREL MAKES A QUICK IMPACTEmma Farrel led the Owls in scoring as a freshman a year ago with 19 points and also topped the squad in goals (eight) while tying for the team lead in assists (three).
DOLLOFF RANKS AMONG NCAA LEADERSAudrey Dolloff finished the 2014 season ranked No. 3 in Division II with an average of 11.0 saves per game and was also 20th in save percentage (.731).

TEAM CAPTURES NFHCA ACADEMIC TEAM LAURELSFor the seventh year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team was recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year. In total, the Owls were one of 20 programs at the Division II level to be recognized with this honor.
