GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team lost a 6-0 decision to Adelphi earlier tonight.
 
The Owls are now 3-6, 2-2 in Northeast-10 play on the year, while Adelphi is 5-3 and 2-1.
 
The Panthers scored four first half goals, two from Molly Cuevas and one each from Elizabeth Mercuri and Olivia Nowokunski. Lena Pollich and Kristen Bagley scored in the second half for a 6-0 final.
 
Audrey Dolloff (Raynham, Mass.) made nine saves before Kelli McCombs (Bristol, Va.) came in to make two stops.
 
Southern Connecticut returns to action on Friday for a home game against Southern New Hampshire.
