The Owls head to Franklin Pierce on Wednesday night for a non-conference contest before traveling to Dowling on Saturday afternoon.

THE LAST MEETING WITH FPUThe Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team fell to Franklin Pierce on Oct. 18, 2014 in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup, 4-0.
• The Ravens used two goals in just 19 seconds in the first half to take control of the game. Courtney Kelly made it 1-0 and was followed right behind on a goal from Andrea Fahey. The score stayed that way into halftime.
• Second half goals from Carly Canavan and Kelly made it a 4-0 final.

Audrey Dolloff turned away seven shots in the game.
DOLLOFF OFF TO A STRONG STARTAudrey Dolloff helped the Owls to a season opening split in a pair of games against Mansfield and No. 4 nationally ranked Shippensburg. Dolloff played the first 58:42 of action to earn the win against Mansfield and stopped all three shots she saw in the net. The following day, Dolloff kept the Owls right with the high-powered Raiders, stopping 20 shots in a 2-0 defeat.

Colleen Murphy kicked off the 2015 season in style, scoring her first career hat trick in the win over Mansfield.

FARREL MAKES A QUICK IMPACTEmma Farrel led the Owls in scoring as a freshman a year ago with 19 points and also topped the squad in goals (eight) while tying for the team lead in assists (three).
DOLLOFF RANKS AMONG NCAA LEADERSAudrey Dolloff finished the 2014 season ranked No. 3 in Division II with an average of 11.0 saves per game and was also 20th in save percentage (.731).

TEAM CAPTURES NFHCA ACADEMIC TEAM LAURELSFor the seventh year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team was recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year. In total, the Owls were one of 20 programs at the Division II level to be recognized with this honor.
