Home games against Pace and St. Michael's close out the 2016 season for the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team this week. The Owls entertain the Setters on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field before St. Michael's visits on Saturday.

ALL-TIME VERSUS PACE
Pace won the first and only meeting between the two schools last year by a 2-1 final in overtime.

SENIOR SENDOFF
The Owls will honor their five seniors - Kimberly Driscoll, Zoe Fanolis, Bailey McGinnis, Alicia Morgan and Vienna Pallisco - prior to Saturday's game.

MCGINNIS MOVING UP THE CHARTS
Bailey McGinnis is now tied for fourth in program history with her 19 career assists.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE
The Owls' overtime win against LIU-Post was their first victory in extra time since 2011, when they defeated Adelphi, 3-2.

CRAFT, DRISCOLL AMONG NCAA LEADERS
Entering the week, Brianna Craft was second in Division II in saves per game with an average of 11.9 per contest. Kimberly Driscoll was sixth with four defensive saves.

SENIORS LEADING THE WAY
Senior Bailey McGinnis leads the Owls in scoring this season with 13 points and also has a team-high five assists. Zoe Fanolis is second with 12 points and is tied for the team lead in goals.

CAREER-HIGH FOR PALLISCO
Senior Vienna Pallisco has set new career-highs in goals (four) and points (nine) this season.

FANOLIS LENDS A HAND
Zoe Fanolis had a career-high three assists in the Owls' contest against Merrimack on Oct. 5.

TRIO NETS FIRST GOALS
Emily Stross, Natalia Prukalski and Jana Migliaro each registered their first collegiate goals in a span of 3:37 in the contest against Merrimack on Oct. 5.

GETTING DEFENSIVE
Southern Connecticut had five defensive saves in the game against Merrimack on Oct. 5. Alicia Morgan and Kimberly Driscoll each tallied two, while Amanda Oberly added one.

CRAFT EARNS PAIR OF HONORS
Freshman goalie Brianna Craft was named as both the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week and the ECAC Defensive Player of the Week for her play in the Owls' wins over Franklin Pierce and Molloy.

O'DONNELL NETS FIRST MULTI-GOAL EFFORT
Kya O'Donnell notched her first two goal performance as an Owl with two goals in the victory over Molloy.

THE CAPTAINS
Head Coach Kelley Frassinelli has announced that seniors Zoe Fanolis and Vienna Pallisco will serve as the Owls team captains for the 2016 season.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB 
The Owls welcome four newcomers to the squad for the 2016 season - Brianna Craft, Hannah LeBeau, Josie Lynch and Natasha Tarbell.

THIRTEEN OWLS EARN NFHCA ACADEMIC HONORS
SCSU had 13 student-athletes receive recognition from the NFHCA for academic success in 2015-16: Emily Allen, Lauren Anderson, Madison Cole, Kimberly Driscoll, Zoe Fanolis, Kassi Hansen, Bailey McGinnis, Alicia Morgan, Colleen Murphy, Vienna Pallisco, Natalia Prukalski, Ashley Sanzaro and Jacqueline Touzos.

TEAM CAPTURES NFHCA ACADEMIC TEAM LAURELS
For the ninth year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team was recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
