Two more Northeast-10 Conference contests are on the docket for the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team this week. The Owls host Merrimack on Wednesday evening at Jess Dow Field before heading back to New Hampshire for the second weekend in a row with a Saturday contest at Franklin Pierce.

The Owls have a 16-13 edge in the all-time series with the Warriors.

CRAFT AMONG NCAA LEADERS
Brianna Craft is currently second in Division II in saves per game with an average of 10.8 per contest.
SENIORS LEADING THE WAY
Seniors
Zoe Fanolis and
Bailey McGinnis lead the Owls in scoring this season. Fanolis is tops with seven points, while McGinnis is right behind with six. Fanolis has three goals to lead the club in that department, while McGinnis is also tops with her two assists.
CRAFT EARNS PAIR OF HONORS
Freshman goalie
Brianna Craft was named as both the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week and the ECAC Defensive Player of the Week for her play in the Owls' wins over Franklin Pierce and Molloy.
O'DONNELL NETS FIRST MULTI-GOAL EFFORT
Kya O'Donnell notched her first two goal performance as an Owl with two goals in the victory over Molloy.

TEAM CAPTURES NFHCA ACADEMIC TEAM LAURELS
For the ninth year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team was recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
