Box Score
RINDGE, N.H. – Seniors
Vienna Pallisco (Sherman, Conn.) and
Bailey McGinnis (North Branford, Conn.) scored goals within a stretch of 5:52 late in the first half, which provided all of the offense that the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team would need in a 2-1 win at Franklin Pierce today.
TEAM RECORDS: SCSU 3-9 (1-6 NE-10) | Franklin Pierce 3-9 (0-7 NE-10)
SENIORS STEP UP: Pallisco opened the scoring with her second goal of the year, which came off of a penalty corner with 8:42 to play in the first half. McGinnis then added an unassisted goal later in the frame to build a two-goal cushion at the half.
CRAFT STANDS TALL: Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) withstood a Franklin Pierce surge in the second half. The Ravens outshot the Owls by an 11-1 margin, but Carly Canavan's goal 9:27 into the frame was the only goal that the hosts could muster. Craft finished with nine saves in the game.
