Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. - The Southern Connecticut State University softball team dropped a pair of games on Wednesday, 9-1 to Wayne State and 5-0 to Bemidji State.
With the losses, the Owls fall to 1-5 on the year while the Warriors improve to 18-3 and Beavers move to 16-5.
Wayne State started off hot in the first game, scoring five runs in the first inning. Southern responded in the bottom of the second with one out.

Catherine Ursillo (Bergenfield. N.J.) and moving
Brooke Franco (Middletown, Conn.) up to second. The Warriors' Mackenzie Boehler got the next two Owl batters out. Boehler gave up five hits in five innings.

Victoria Ceballos (Bridgeport, Conn.) pitched 1-2-3 innings in the 2nd and 3rd. The Warriors picked up two runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to seal the win.
