Winners of two in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team once again prepares for two games this week. The Owls travel to No. 7 nationally ranked Adelphi on Tuesday evening before AIC ventures to Jess Dow Field on Saturday at 4 p.m.

CRAFT OFF TO A STRONG START
Freshman goalie
Brianna Craft has posted a 2.31 goals against average and .842 save percentage through her first four games. Last week, she made nine saves in a 2-1 victory over Franklin Pierce and followed that up with five saves in a 3-0 shutout of Molloy.
O'DONNELL NETS FIRST MULTI-GOAL EFFORT
Kya O'Donnell notched her first two goal performance as an Owl with two goals in the victory over Molloy.
BALANCED EFFORT FOR MCGINNIS
In addition to leading the team with six points this season,
Bailey McGinnis has also recorded points in three of the Owls' four games this year.

TEAM CAPTURES NFHCA ACADEMIC TEAM LAURELS
For the ninth year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team was recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
