NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The American International College field hockey team scored twice in the opening 6:06 of action en route to a 2-0 victory over Southern Connecticut State University today at Jess Dow Field.

IN A FLASH: Taylor Ruscillo opened the scoring only 2:38 into play off a rebound. Then, just 3:28 later, Ruscillo fed Meghan Brock for a goal that gave the Yellow Jackets a 2-0 cushion.

KNOCKING ON THE DOOR: The Owls managed 12 shots in the game to 19 for AIC, but were unable to find the back of the net. Meanwhile, Owls' goalie Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) stopped seven shots in the game.

UP NEXT: Southern Connecticut travels to Bentley on Wednesday in a Northeast-10 Conference contest.
