Road games at Bentley and Assumption are on the docket for the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team this week. The Owls travel to Bentley on Wednesday before venturing to Assumption on Saturday.

ALL-TIME VERSUS BENTLEY
The Falcons have a 33-6-1 edge in the all-time series with the Owls. However, SCSU claimed a 1-0 victory over the Falcons in last year's meeting.

ALL-TIME VERSUS ASSUMPTION
Southern Connecticut has a 20-11 advantage in the all-time series with the Greyhounds.

CRAFT EARNS PAIR OF HONORS
Freshman goalie Brianna Craft was named as both the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week and the ECAC Defensive Player of the Week for her play in the Owls' wins over Franklin Pierce and Molloy.

O'DONNELL NETS FIRST MULTI-GOAL EFFORT
Kya O'Donnell notched her first two goal performance as an Owl with two goals in the victory over Molloy.

THE CAPTAINS
Head Coach Kelley Frassinelli has announced that seniors Zoe Fanolis and Vienna Pallisco will serve as the Owls team captains for the 2016 season.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB 
The Owls welcome four newcomers to the squad for the 2016 season - Brianna Craft, Hannah LeBeau, Josie Lynch and Natasha Tarbell.

THIRTEEN OWLS EARN NFHCA ACADEMIC HONORS
SCSU had 13 student-athletes receive recognition from the NFHCA for academic success in 2015-16: Emily Allen, Lauren Anderson, Madison Cole, Kimberly Driscoll, Zoe Fanolis, Kassi Hansen, Bailey McGinnisAlicia Morgan, Colleen Murphy, Vienna Pallisco, Natalia Prukalski, Ashley Sanzaro and Jacqueline Touzos.

TEAM CAPTURES NFHCA ACADEMIC TEAM LAURELS
For the ninth year in a row, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team was recognized with National Academic Team honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2015-16 academic year.
