NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Senior Vienna Pallisco (Sherman, Conn.) scored a goal but the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team lost a 6-1 decision to Adelphi on Tuesday at Jess Dow Field.

TEAM RECORDS: SCSU 2-7 (0-4 NE-10) | Adelphi 4-3 (2-1)

Lena Pollich, Elizabeth Mercuri and Elissa Frein scored first half goals to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead at the break. Justine DeLuca and Danielle Powers extended the lead to 5-0 before Pallisco scored off a penalty corner. Jacqueline Touzos (Foxboro, Mass.) and Zoe Fanolis (Hamden, Conn.) assisted on the goal.

Pollich added a late goal for a 6-1 final.

Owls' goalie Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) stopped 14 shots in the contest.
