With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team readies for two NE10 games this week. The Owls travel to Adelphi on Tuesday afternoon before welcoming Assumption on Saturday morning as part of the Homecoming festivities.
ALL-TIME VERSUS ADELPHI
The Panthers hold a 9-4 edge on the Owls all-time. In the last meeting, Adelphi claimed a 6-1 win on Sept. 27, 2016.
ALL-TIME VERSUS ASSUMPTION
The Owls have a 20-12 edge in the all-time series with Assumption. The Greyhounds defeated the Owls, 11-0, in last year's contest.

Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) ranks among NCAA leaders in saves per game (#2) and saves (#1), while junior
Sadie Young (West Brookfield, Mass.) is tied for fifth in defensive saves with five.Â
QUEEN OF HER CRAFT
Sophomore Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) is ranked No. 1 in saves for not only the NE10 conference, but also the NCAA with 205 saves made this season. Only a sophomore, Craft currently leads all active goalies in the NCAA in saves with 412.

Freshman Jessica Maier leads the Owls in goals (five) and points (13) heading into this week's action.
YOUNG AT HEART
Second in the NE10 in defensive saves with five, Sadie Young also netted the game-winning goal in the victory over St. Thomas Aquinas. Coincidentally, two of Young's three career goals have been game-winners, with the other one also a go-ahead tally.
MASTERING HER CRAFT
Sophomore Brianna Craft had a career-high and also broke an SCSU record she previously tied with 27 saves in the Owls' loss to No. 8 LIU Post on September 12.
MAIER NAMED NE10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jessica Maier was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on Sept. 11 after she collected her first three collegiate points (two goals, one assist), which included the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Molloy on September 9.
GETTING CRAFTY
Sophomore Brianna Craft set a career-best and tied a program-best in saves with 24 in the Owls 8-0 loss against No. 1 nationally ranked Shippensburg on Sept. 3.
PRUKALSKI NAMED TEAM CAPTAIN
Head Coach Kelley Frassinelli has announced that junior Natasha Prukalski will serve as the Owls team captain for the 2017 season.
