HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers opened the scoring 2:43 into the game to take an early lead. The Owls struck right back as freshman
Karley Welles (Newington, Conn.) snuck one past the goalie on the right side to tie the game.Â
Adelphi came out hot in the second half where they scored five unanswered goals to take a commanding 6-1 lead.Â
Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) made 11 saves in the loss.
