NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Three different players scored a goal as the Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team dropped an 18-3 decision to No. 1 nationally ranked Adelphi on Wednesday evening.
 
TEAM RECORDS: SCSU 3-4 (1-3 NE10) | Adelphi 7-0 (5-0 NE10)
 
Taylor Portelinha (Woodbridge, Conn.), Samantha Cozzolino (Hamden, Conn.) and Carolynn Keal (Southington, Conn.) each netted a tally for the Owls in the contest.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED: Adelphi scored the first 11 goals of the game before Portelinha got the Owls on the board. The Panthers led 12-1 at the half.
 
Cozzolino and Keal added second half goals for the Owls.
