BACK IN ACTION
Last time out, the Southern Connecticut State University softball team gained its first NE10 win of the 2017 campaign in a shutout win over AIC. The Owls look to keep their momentum as they host doubleheaders against Adelphi and Dominican and then head north to face Merrimack and Assumption to finish out the week.

ALL-TIME AGAINST ADELPHI
The Panthers lead the all-time series against the Owls, 31-22.

ALL-TIME AGAINST DOMINICAN
The Owls lead the all-time series against the Chargers, 10-5. 

ALL-TIME AGAINST MERRIMACK
The Warriors lead the all-time series against the Owls, 27-19.

ALL-TIME AGAINST ASSUMPTION
The Greyhounds lead the all-time series against the Owls, 32-17.

CEBALLOS PITCHING LEADS OWLS
Junior Victoria Ceballos started two games this past week for the Owls going 1-1 with a shutout victory over AIC. She leads the team in wins (2) and lowest ERA (3.69).     

D'ARCANGELO STAYS STRONG
Senior Giuliana D'Arcangelo leads the team in hits (13), RBI (7) and batting average (.371) this season. This past week she went 6-for-14 and added one RBI and one run.    

OWLS SPRING TRIP STANDOUTS
Junior Victoria Ceballos started four games on the spring trip for the Owls, went 3-for-8 and scored two runs. Giuliana D'Arcangelo started in all six games for the Owls hitting 5-for-15 and led the team in RBI with four.

NEWCOMER BOOSTS OWLS
Senior newcomer Zoe Fanolis, who has starred in Southern Connecticut's field hockey team for the last four years, joined the softball team this season and is making an impact. During the spring trip, Fanolis went 4-for-9, scored three runs, and registered two RBI.

IN THE NE10 PRESEASON RANKINGS
The Southern Connecticut State University softball team has been selected to finish sixth in the Southwest Division of the NE10 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Southern Connecticut returns 15 players from last year's squad - Heather Jackson, Brooke Franco, Giuliana D'Arcangelo, Jaime Conklin, Yesenia Evaristo, Arianna Tedeschi, Danielle Piazza, Carissa Wasikowski, Lauren Yaffa, Samantha Peltier, Victoria Ceballos, Jodi DiSanto, Arianna Medeiros, BryAnna McIntosh and Holly Noe.

WELCOME TO THE CLUB
Southern Connecticut welcomes Maria Zecene, Zoe Fanolis, Sara Buscetto, Daniela Saggio, Delany Turner, Madison Feshler, Julie Lener and Jordan McHale to the team.

EXCELLING IN THE CLASSROOM
Southern Connecticut had 13 student-athletes selected to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for their work in the classroom during the fall, 2016 semester.
