HOW IT HAPPENED
LIU opened the scoring at 21:28 of the first half to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
The Pioneers added two quick goals to begin the second half. They added one more goal at 62:54 to increase their lead to 4-0.
Jessica Maier (Enfield, Conn.) got SCSU on the board at 65:09 of the second half with an assist from
Sadie Young (West Brookfield, Mass.). Young also collected two shots on goal and two defensive saves, her third and fourth of the year.
