The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey squad will host two conference matchups this week at Jess Dow Field. On Tuesday evening, SCSU will host Bentley for a 7 p.m. start. Then, the Owls host No. 5 Saint Anselm on Saturday for a 3 p.m. start.

The Falcons hold a 34-6-1 all-time record against the Owls.

Three freshmen newcomers,
Chloe Knight, Karley Welles and
Jessica Maier pitched in on all four of the Owls' goals in their 4-2 win over Saint Thomas Aquinas on September 20.

YOUNG AT HEART
In addition to leading the NE10 in defensive saves with four,
Sadie Young also netted the game-winning goal in the victory over St. Thomas Aquinas. Coincidentally, two of Young's three career goals have been game-winners, with the other one also a go-ahead tally.
MASTERING HER CRAFT
Sophomore
Brianna Craft had a career-high and also broke an SCSU record she previously tied with 27 saves in the Owls' loss to No. 8 LIU Post on September 12.
MAIER NAMED NE10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Jessica Maier was named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on Sept. 11 after she collected her first three collegiate points (two goals, one assist), which included the game-winning goal in a 4-3 win over Molloy on September 9.
GETTING CRAFTY
Sophomore
Brianna Craft set a career-best and tied a program-best in saves with 24 in the Owls 8-0 loss against No. 1 nationally ranked Shippensburg on Sept. 3.
PRUKALSKI NAMED TEAM CAPTAIN
Head Coach
Kelley Frassinelli has announced that junior Natasha Prukalski will serve as the Owls team captain for the 2017 season.
