Karley Welles (Newington, Conn.) notched her first collegiate goal, while sophomore
Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) tallied 20 saves as the Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team dropped a 5-1 decision to Pace University tonight.
RECORDS: SCSU (0-3) PACE (2-0)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
-Pace scored two quick goals within the first 15 minutes of the game. SCSU would respond with a goal of its own in the 19th minute of the first half as Welles scored off of a corner from fellow freshman
Jessica Maier (Enfield, Conn.). With her goal tonight, Welles recorded the first goal of her collegiate career, while Maier recorded her first collegiate point.
-Pace would add three more goals in the second half en route to a 5-1 victory.
