Griffin Bremer (Higganum, Conn.) allowed just two runs and worked into the eighth inning to record his second win of the year as the Southern Connecticut State University baseball team downed Post University today, 11-2.

Nolan Cloutier (Wallingford, Conn.) finished 2-for-4, recorded three RBI, scored one run and stole a base.

Ethan Joyce (Exeter, N.H.) went 2-for-2 in today's win, scored two runs and registered one RBI.

Connor Redahan (Greenwich, Conn.) was 1-for-3 today, scored two runs and had one RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles jumped on the board first in the top of the second to take a 1-0 lead. The Owls tied it later that inning as Cloutier hit a RBI doube to score Joyce and make it 1-1.Â
- Post took the lead in the top of the third with a homerun, 2-1. However, SCSU scored three in the bottom of the third to take the lead,
Tyler Criscuolo (Branford, Conn.) singled to score
Jim Palmer (Milford, Conn.) to tie it at two.
Nick Lamberti (East Haven, Conn.) and Criscuolo scored on a wild pitches later in the inning to give the Owls a 4-2 lead.
-Â The Owls scored seven more runs, two in the fourth, two in the fifth and three in the sixth. Cloutier's two run single was a key hit in the fifth and Joyce, Redahan and
Mike DeMartino (New Haven, Conn.) all had run scoring hits in the Owls' three-run sixth inning.
- Bremer worked 7.1 innings and fanned five, and
Jake Santamaria (Oceanside, N.Y.) held the Eagles scoreless in securing the final five outs of the game.
UP NEXT
The Owls will face Caldwell on March 12 in Boca Raton, with the game set to start at 3 p.m.
