NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's lacrosse team lost a 13-6 decision to No. 22 nationally ranked Bentley in NE10 action earlier today.

Laura Morton (Somers, Conn.) matched a career-high 19 saves in the contest.

Nicole Healey (Milford, Conn.) had a game-high four points (one goal, three assists), while
Samantha Cozzolino (Hamden, Conn.) had a game-high three goals.

Hailey Prindle-Nelson (Sharon, Conn.) and
Taylor Portelinha (Woodbridge, Conn.) also scored once in the contest.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bentley opened the scoring just 1:47 into the game. Prindle-Nelson's goal tied the game at 1-1 just over two minutes later.
- The Falcons scored the next two goals to build a 3-1 cushion before Cozzolino netted her first of the day. Bentley then followed with two straight until a Healey goal cut the gap to 5-3.
- The visitors held an 8-3 lead at halftime and scored five straight goals spanning both halves to build a 10-3 cushion. The lead would stretch to as many as nine. Portelinha tallied her goal in the second half, while Cozzolino added two more tallies to cap her hat trick.
