The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team will have a pair of conference games this week with one on the road and one at home. On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Owls will head to Pleasantville, N.Y. to face Pace University for a 6 p.m. matchup with the Setters. Then, on Friday, Oct. 18, the Owls will kick off the 2019 SCSU Homecoming festivities when they welcome the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University to Jess Dow Field for a "Battle of the Birds" matchup at 3 p.m.

- The Owls' four goals scored against Molloy were the most goals scored in a game since Sept. 20, 2017 against Saint Thomas Aquinas, when they also scored four in a win.
- Janelle Ward, a goalkeeper turned field player just a few weeks ago, became the first Southern player to have a goal and an assist in the same game since Karley Welles did so on Sept. 22, 2018 against Southern New Hampshire.Â
- Ward became the first Southern player to record two assists in a game since Chloe Knight on Sept. 20, 2017 against Saint Thomas Aquinas.
- Ward became the first Southern player to record two assists and a goal in a game since Sarah Cebry on Oct. 13, 2012 in a win against Saint Anselm.
